Digital Communication
|
- I will only share images, videos, and things in writing with other students that are on school topics.
- I will stay away from chat sessions and social networking sites, including the use of collaborative documents (e.g. Docs, Slides, Sheets, Jamboards, etc.) used for the purpose of chatting.
- I will not post or publish images, videos, and/or things in writing captured at school or school-related activities on social networking sites, blogs, and other websites.
- I will only email teachers and classmates about school topics

Digital Literacy

- I will use the technology at school to curate, consume, evaluate, create, and communicate information for learning and innovation.

Digital Etiquette
|
- I will always use my own district-provided @lgusd.org account when using the district and school network and never use another student’s or my personal account without teacher permission.
- I will follow the directions of my teacher or any adult in charge.
- I will be responsible for my online identity and be honest and truthful about what I post and how I respond to others.
- I will get permission before taking pictures or videos of other students.
- I will use technology appropriately and safely so that it functions properly.
- During school time, I will not use online games, videos, or interactive activities without my teacher’s permission.
- I will not cheat or gain an unfair advantage in online activities through sharing and accessing information inappropriately.
- I will not alter or delete another student’s work or accounts without permission.
- I will not alter or change settings on my device or other people’s devices or shared technology by downloading software or accessing settings.
- I will not put my or other users' technology or personal information at risk by damaging or altering shared network software and technology.
- I will touch another person’s technology only with permission.

Digital Law
|
- I will honor all copyright and fair use laws as I have been taught.
- I will not plagiarize or use others’ work without properly citing my sources.
- I will not illegally download or share pirated content either through sharing or using peer-to-peer services.
- I will share with any school employee any incidences of bullying or harassment in which students are acting abusively or unsafely online toward others.
- I will share with a school employee any online behavior in which a student is acting unsafely and posting information that may be harmful to themselves or others.
- I will not create, access, post, submit, publish, display or distribute abusive, harassing, libelous, obscene, offensive, disruptive, profane, pornographic, threatening, sexually explicit, illegal material, or material that could be construed as harassment or disparagement of others based on their race/ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or political beliefs.
- I will not engage in cyberbullying, which is communicating harassing messages, direct threats, or other harmful texts, sounds, or images.
- If I use a personally owned device to access district technology, I understand that the contents of the device and any communications sent or received on the device are subject to disclosure pursuant to a lawful subpoena or public records request.

Digital Responsibilities
|
- I will not use technology for commercial, purchasing, or illegal purposes.
- I will use technology appropriately or I may face loss of access or consequences including disciplinary action, expulsion, or legal action.
- I will agree to the review of communications, data, and files by the district.
- I will take good care of school and district equipment and will not cause damage to the school computers, the computer network, or other school or district equipment.
- I will report any violations of this Student Technology Contract to an adult at school.
- I understand that if there is any question concerning the approval of an activity or task, it is my responsibility to seek clarification from my teacher.

Digital Security & Privacy
|
- I will protect my passwords and personal information such as my name, address, telephone number, or the name and location of my school.
- I will get my parent/guardian’s approval and participation before I meet with anyone online
- I understand that there is no expectation of privacy when using district technology.
