From the Board

The Board of Trustees would like to welcome everyone to the 2022-23 school year. This year we will continue the implementation of our Strategic Plan, which outlines the academic, social growth and development of our students and provides direction for the continuous improvement of the District.

We are very honored to serve the Los Gatos and Monte Sereno communities. We are fortunate to have such wonderful teachers, administrators and support staff working for our District. Our schools are a valued asset to our community and we are dedicated to seeing that this continues.

Over the course of the year, we will continue to discuss our Strategic Plan and be accessible. We are committed to provide ongoing communication with our parents and community, and building trust and relationships with our employees and parent volunteer groups.

The Board of Trustees believes that the quality of the educational program can improve when the district listens to complaints, considers differences of opinion, and resolves disagreements through an established, objective process. Individual Board members do not have authority to resolve complaints. If approached directly with a complaint, however, Board members will listen to the complaint and show their concern by referring the complainant to the Superintendent or designee so that the problem may receive proper consideration. The Board encourages complainants to resolve problems early and informally whenever possible. If a problem remains unresolved, the individual should submit a formal complaint as early as possible in accordance with appropriate district procedures.

Our regular Board meetings are held on a Thursday each month. The meetings are open and the public is invited to participate. Thank you for helping us provide a safe and academically rich environment for our children.

We are always interested in hearing your thoughts. If you want to communicate with us individually, our phone numbers and email addresses are listed on the Board of Trustees page, or you can address the entire Board.
