Requirements Beginning in the 2024-2025 School Year

The following guidance chart will take effect on August 15, 2024, the first day of the next 2024-2025 school year.  Our number one priority is to make sure our students are safe at school and these guidelines are intended to add another layer of security.

Please review the chart below about volunteers vs. visitors. If you have questions about an individual situation/scenario, please reach out to your school principal.

Parents who are interested in volunteering for the 2024-2025 school year will be able get fingerprinted and cleared beginning this Spring.  To facilitate access to fingerprinting and encourage parent engagement and volunteerism, LGUSD will cover the cost of individuals who are fingerprinted at an LGUSD-sponsored fingerprinting opportunity for the 2024-2025 school year.

There will be several fingerprinting dates throughout the district in an effort to streamline and simplify the process. Our April fingerprinting sessions are full. We are working on additional dates in the near future and in the Fall. Those will be shared with families via ParentSquare. Visit this site for updates.

Please note that volunteers will only need to submit fingerprints once during their time in LGUSD.

We have added additional appointments for the April fingerprinting sessions.
