Family:
I was born in New York and moved to Los Gatos, Santa Cruz Mountains after getting discharged from the US Air Force in 1971. I met Sharon shortly after that and we married in 1972. Our two daughters Raina and Michelle both went through the LGUSD system and then Los Gatos High. Michelle's three children are all attending Los Gatos schools.

Education:
I am a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management (BAM). I have strived to be an effective leader and am a member of the National Management Association (NMA), THE Leadership Development Organization, since 1996 and Chairman of the Board in 2010.

Profession:
I served in the United States Air Force from 1967 until 1971. I am retired from BAE Systems, formally United Defense and FMC where I have enjoyed increasing responsibilities as Quality Manager for Prototype Operations, Materials Manager and Hardware Program Manager. Throughout my career of almost 35 years, I see leadership as my ultimate goal with continuous improvement as the road to get there.

Community Service:
I enjoy serving my community in any way I can. I have been an active member of the LGUSD CBOC and committee chair its last three years. I have volunteered whenever possible at Food Banks, Sacred Heart Charities, and Homeless Shelters to name a few. I am the current President of the Mount Hamilton Range Improvement Association (MHRIA) serving the backcountry east of San Jose.
