We have been in Los Gatos since 2003, specifically moving here for the unique blend of charm, community and great schools. My wife and I have three children, and they all thrived in LGUSD at Van Meter and Fisher, as well as Los Gatos HS.

I graduated from Princeton University with a BS degree in engineering. After working for a few years, I continued my education and graduated with MS and PhD degrees from MIT, also in engineering. I grew up in Marblehead, MA, just outside of Boston, and went through the K-12 public schools there.

For the majority of my career, I have worked in the life sciences industry. My specific focus for the past 10+ years has been CEO and Board roles for early-stage startups, including a UCSF spinout and a Stanford spinout. Earlier in my career, I was a professor at Carnegie Mellon University for two years and received the mechanical engineering department’s “Professor of the Year” award at the end of my first year.

I have served on the LGUSD Board of Trustees since 2014, and in the role of Board President in 2016, 2018 and 2022. I feel honored and privileged to serve the families, children and teachers of LGUSD, and to continue to support the reputation for excellence that LGUSD has achieved. Since 2022, I have also served on the Board of Directors of Jewish Silicon Valley (the parent organization of the JCC in Los Gatos) and as Chair of JSV’s Finance Committee. When my kids were younger, I coached approximately 20 seasons of youth sports (soccer, basketball and baseball) for their various teams.
