Family:

I have lived in Los Gatos with my family since 2010.  My two children both attend Lexington Elementary, where they really enjoy the school’s unique International Baccalaureate program.

Education:

After graduating with a degree in economics cum laude from Princeton University, I received a master’s degree in international economics with high honors from the Université de Paris I - Pantheon Sorbonne and then earned my doctorate in economics from the University of Oxford.  My research at Oxford concentrated on the interdependent relationships between health, education, and employment outcomes in developing countries.

Profession:

I have focused my career on improving educational outcomes and opportunities for students from all backgrounds. I currently work as a data scientist at Chegg, an education technology company that helps college students succeed academically and professionally. Prior to joining Chegg, I spent nearly six years working at Teach For America, a non-profit organization whose mission is for all children to have access to an excellent education.

Community Service:

I currently serve on the Breakthrough Silicon Valley Board of Directors, iMentor’s Bay Area Advisory Board, and the Chegg Foundation Board.  Within LGUSD, I volunteered for several years as a representative on the district’s Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee and the Financial Advisory Committee, and also spent a year as the secretary of Lexington’s Home and School Club.
