Fisher Fields Restoration Project
At the November 16, 2015 Board Meeting, members of the community shared concerns about the poor condition of the fields at Fisher Middle School and expressed a willingness to partner and help fundraise for a community asset for youth sports leagues in Los Gatos.
On October 10, 2016, the Board of Trustees reviewed six different field configurations and approved a $3.2M Phase I Base Scope Project allowing for a future Phase II Project funded by the community partners.
On Monday, August 21, 2017, the Board of Trustees approved Phase I of the Fisher Fields Restoration Project which includes a reduced base scope with infrastructure upgrades and the reconfiguration of the fields with a $3.2M budget. A new track and field is scheduled to be completed in early 2018. Unfortunately, fundraising efforts and escalating construction costs forced the District to reduce the scope of the initial project.
We value our community partners and look forward to working with them in the short term to fund Phase II of the project, which includes infrastructure upgrades for a baseball field and other athletic fields, when private and/or public funds become available.
